Match the page to the question
| Buyer question | Best destination |
|---|---|
| "Best X for a company like ours" | A page for that segment: size, industry or stack |
| "X vs Y" or "alternatives to Y" | An honest comparison page |
| "How much does X cost?" | Pricing, with ranges if you don't publish prices |
| "Does X work with our ERP?" | The integration page for that system |
| "How do we solve problem Z?" | A short guide that ends with your approach |
What makes a page work after an AI answer
- The first screen answers the question the ad promised to answer.
- Facts are visible: company sizes served, integrations, time to go live, price range.
- One clear next step: a demo, a trial or a calculator, not five buttons.
- It loads fast on desktop and mobile.
Policy requirements
OpenAI's ad policy applies to landing pages as well as ads. The page must accurately represent the advertiser and the product in the ad, and an approved ad may not link to a page with disallowed content. OpenAI runs a separate crawler, OAI-AdsBot, that visits submitted ad landing pages to check compliance.
Make the page measurable
- Give every ad group its own UTM content value.
- Track demo requests as a conversion event.
- Keep company identification running on the page, so visits that don't convert can still be named.
A landing page outline for one buyer question
Question: "Best close software for NetSuite users" (fictional).
- Headline: "Month-end close for NetSuite finance teams."
- One-line answer: "Connects to NetSuite in a day; teams of 5–30 accountants close in about five days."
- Proof row: three customer logos you're allowed to use, or one short quote.
- What it does with NetSuite: a table of synced objects and how often they sync.
- How it compares: a short, fair comparison with the two most common alternatives.
- Pricing or a price range.
- One call to action: "Book a 20-minute demo".
Test one thing at a time
Change the headline or the call to action, not both. With B2B volumes, a test needs several weeks to show a difference.
Questions
Can one page serve several ad groups?
Yes, if the questions are close. A comparison page can serve "X vs Y" and "alternatives to Y". A problem guide shouldn't double as a pricing page.
Should we use a form or a calendar?
A calendar booking removes a step. Ask for the company website in the booking form; it helps company identification and qualification.
Does page speed matter?
Yes. Buyers arrive from a fast answer and leave slow pages quickly. Aim for the main content visible in under two seconds on mobile.
